Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
In 1953, Bishop Charles D. White established the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Walla Walla. The community undertook the building of a grade school. Over the next decade they added a convent, the rectory and our spacious modern church. Following the example of our Patroness, Assumption Parish strives to live a sacramental life, witnessing the Gospel, in our service to others.
After seeking input and receiving feedback from parishioners, publishing a document of compiled feedback, and the submission of a pastoral letter, the 2023-2026 Pastoral Plan for Assumption Parish was unanimously recommended for publication by the Assumption Pastoral Council on March 13th, 2023.Download
Assumption Listening Sessions
During each session and through an online format, parishioners were invited to share their thoughts on multiple areas pertaining to the parish, with a focus on strengths, vision, obstacles, and strategies. This document is a compilation of notes taken at the sessions, a review of the sheets that were turned in at each session, any emailed comments, and any online form submissions.Download
